Affordable Wedding Expo at Brunswick Town hall
Last Sunday I exhibited at the Affordable Wedding expo and met lots of lovely brides and grooms. This gave me the chance to discuss all things floral with them. My aim was to showcase various options for bouquets, buttonholes and table centrepieces at different price points. This was a success, with many of the couples stopping to chat and view the florals. I was assisted by the lovely and talented Kay of Kay Elizabeth couture gowns.
Purple & White Florals
The florals l used included lavender & white roses, freesias, lisianthus, stock and foilages of ivy berry and ruscus. There was a bridal bouquet, matching buttonhole and two centrepiece options. One was a rustic centrepiece and the other a tealight birdcage (my favourite).
Native florals
The response to the native florals was amazing, with many of the brides touching them to feel the textural elements. With a native bouquet including Pink ice proteas, orange pincushion proteas, yellow strawflowers, green berzelia and foilage of nutty gum the result was certainly colourful! With a matching buttonhole and a small fishbowl vase for table centrepieces this set was easily the favourite of the day.
Pink and White Romantic florals
Using highly perfumed pink O’Hara roses, many of the brides commented on the lovely smell. I included white ranunculas, pink hypericum berries and white andromeda. To showcase a lower cost option for table centrepieces I made a simple arrangement of pink roses, pink chrysanthemums, white thryptomene and ruscus. Though simple, the inclusion of the highly perfumed roses would ensure the wow factor for your guests.
As a Mill Park based wedding & event florist, I work predominately in the North- North East Suburbs of Melbourne. I also work with venues in the Yarra Valley.
I would love to assist you with your needs for your day! I look forward to working with you. To get in touch please contact me.
